Pshavela
Having started its operations in 2010, Pshavela small hydropower plant underwent rehabilitation and upgrade in 2015, increasing design capacity from 1.0 MW to 2.9MW. Electricity generated by Pshavela SHPP is being sold on a pre-agreed contractual basis to the State Electricity Commercial Operator which ensures the constant supply of balancing electricity to Georgia.
Pshavela HPP proved itself as a successful investment project and bolstered aspirations of East Gate Group to further strengthen its presence on the Georgian energy sector by developing new small hydro projects.
